wildness in my heart be not tamed ... dance, dive, soar; live, be lived, be wholly and completely open and unafraid; go forth, act on what inspires you, breathe love and give nothing less than everything

Tajik Tuy
Dancing at weddings is mandatory ... until you haven't got the strength to stand and you are sweating like a pig ... well, in Tajikistan, maybe I should use a different metaphor. This was such a strange shot with strange colors and it made us laugh so hard that it was worth keeping.
Spirited Riders
Exhilaration doesn't come close to describing the feeling of being on a powerful and charged horse that is ready for battle in the game of "booz kashi" - in the snow. There is something amazing about having your other team member be the animal you ride upon - who is as intent at playing the game and winning as you are. The oneness of mind between rider and stealth carrier is of another dimension.

Sedona
vortex-ville. if you believe. it IS.
i am still trying to decipher the journey, now that it's behind me. trying to comprehend the meaning, the essence, the form.
the word transformational comes to mind. that would apply to the last six to eight months, really. apical - that's the last four weeks: sedona, san luis obispo, long beach.
there was, in each instance, a heightened sense of awareness that all elements were at play and were crucial to the unfolding ... place, time, people. it was the organoleptics of life - the crunch, the mouthfeel, the texture, the taste - it was all there. it was ... organoleptogasmic.

dirty work
Walk a mile in my shoes and you may end up with ugh-ly feet like mine. It's taken me four months to repair them.
I'm really just practicing blogging fotos from flickr. I did it!
Still learning
It's been a while since Marya turned me on to the world of blogging and I am still in my nappys, if you will. I just blogged the photos above from the flickr site as practice ... what I mean to say is that I actually DID it. More to come soon. Bare with me (or is that bear with me?) as I practice and show my lack of skill (it's inversely [or perversely] proportional to my passion ... I don't know, now I'm confused).

Liquid Mercury

This is always my favorite type of sea day. Yesterday I went out to M.D.O. - Montano de Oro-to find my center and think about where to go next. The day was as such - grey, breezy, foggy, cool, crisp - a reprieve from the sameness of sunshine day after day after day. I felt my mood soaring - rejuvenated by the power and constancy of the sea. What a magical place and time.
